What is ITS?

The International Thespian Society recognizes, rewards, and encourages student achievement, celebrating the work of students in all aspects of theatre—both performance and production. Each student is honored on a national level and gains access to opportunities and resources beyond those available at their school.

The Maryland State Thespian Festival brings together high schools from across the state for a two-day festival honoring student achievement in theatre. Packed with workshops led by industry leaders, one-act performances, individual event competitions, and college auditions, it's your chance to take center stage, develop your craft, and take hold of your future!

Student Resources

All students, including those working towards their membership, should submit their ITS points online quarterly. Students must fill out the entire form completely and correctly for their points to be considered.

Not yet a member but possibly interested? If you are active in theatre at all, we recommend that you start submitting points as soon as possible, just in case!

Points Due Dates ’25-’26

Summer Points: Sunday, Sep 7

Fall Points: Sunday, Nov 30

Winter Points: Monday, Mar 23

Senior Points Due: Monday, Apr 20

Spring Points: Sunday, May 31- non-seniors

Students should submit their points online by 11:59 PM on the due date!
